Nature Therapy Experience

Where healing meets the wisdom of nature

There’s no denying it—Nature heals. In the quiet rustle of leaves, the warmth of sunlight on skin, and the grounding rhythm of the earth beneath our feet, we find restoration. The Nature Therapy Experience (NTE) is an invitation to return to that sacred connection—gently, soulfully, and with deep intention.
 

Each experience is a curated blend of practices designed to awaken the senses, calm the nervous system, and bring you home to yourself. Together, we may explore:

  • Meditation and breathwork

  • Prayer and contemplative practice

  • Reflective time—through journaling or simply being

  • Sound therapy and healing tones

  • Creative expression through art and nature

  • Gentle movement outdoors

  • Tactile play and grounding sensory exploration

  • Story and knowledge-sharing to nourish the mind

Optional sacred elements may include:

  • Plant medicine integration (with reverence and care)

  • A heart-opening cacao ceremony

In a world where many of us feel stretched thin—longing for deeper connection, peace, and replenishment—nature offers the balm. Science now echoes what ancient traditions have always known: spending time in nature can reduce inflammation and anxiety, improve sleep and digestion, balance cortisol, and even enrich the diversity of our microbiome.

No two experiences are the same. Each NTE is thoughtfully tailored to those who gather, ensuring a unique and meaningful journey every time.

Exercises

A Nature Therapy Experience will include some of the examples given here. It will ideally be a whole day, or overnight experience. 

As the client, you always have a right to refuse. The goal is to push comfort levels and expand our awareness, but not to harm, embarrass or  intimidate anyone else. 

If you feel that this modality of therapy is for you, please consult the facilitator so that the experience is customised for you or your group. 

Meditation

Breath Work 

Grounding

This is something we all know there are benefits to, but never find the time to do in practise. 
By starting our time together in exercises that will bring us to the here and now, allowing your busy mind and body to acclimatise and prepare for the experience.

Prayer and Contemplative practise

This moment will allow for reflection on scripture, poetry or sacred verse. If appropriate, the group will also be invited to pray in this time. Another exercise we know is good for us, but seldom find carved out time to do. 

Reflection Time

Reflection time will be allocated to putting pen to paper. This will be a guided session helping you to set an intention, process an emotion or express your most private thoughts. 

Sound Therapy

This will also differ from client or group. A customised sound selection will be used to facilitate a connection to nature, the Creator and your innate healing powers. 

Art / Movement 

Art or movement (depending on client/ group requirements) will be to allow for free expression. This will be the moment where one can truly express the freedom of being in the beauty of nature, in the sacredness of our own creation, and the privilege of communing with the Creator of it all. 

Tactile Experience

When last did you truly feel mud in your hands? Or run your palm over the bark of a tree? This tactile experience will push your comfort levels but will allow you to engage ALL senses in the miracle of nature. 

Information Sharing

There will be an opportunity to learn. When one is equipped with knowledge about the manifold miracles in any natural space, it can only but connect us to the creation, to nature, to ourselves and to one another. 

Plant Medicine Ritual

There is an option to engage in certain plant medicine rituals. Should you feel that this is of interest or for you in particular, please chat to your facilitator in advance. 

Sacred Cacao Ceremony

Cacao is a sacred, heart opening medicine. If this is included in the experience, it will be planned at the start of our time together, so as to prepare the heart for what lays ahead.
